To the world, or at least to a tiny section of it, Rhian Williams is a lawyer. But in her own mind, she has always been a writer.

She began writing from an early age and completed her first book aged seven, publishing it herself with paper, glue and treasury tags. As a teenager, she won national competitions for prose before developing an interest in journalism. She edited her school magazine and, subsequently, her college's official prospectus at Oxford University where she became a news reporter on the 'Cherwell', the university newspaper. She also created an alternative prospectus which was far more informative to prospective students than the official one.

After leaving university, Rhian worked on the newsdesk of a local paper before gradually becoming immersed in the legal world. Although her writing currently consists of dusty legal drafting and editing her firm's newsletter, she has found no better way to unwind than by scribbling down her thoughts and ideas. Her notebook is her constant companion and one of her best friends.
